Brief Histroy: Bukar Abba Ibrahim University is located in Damaturu, Yobe State, Nigeria. It was founded in 2006.
The Yobe State University is part of the initiatives of the Yobe State Executive Council targeted at improving education in the state. The university is expected to be the central focus of the State in its determination to enhance the socio-economic development of the people of Yobe State. This is in addition to the desire by the Government of the state to acquire skilled and technologically oriented manpower, and self-employing graduates that can meet the present day realities.
